The long awaited release of the first studio album by JudyC featuring the supportive contributions of the Van Gogh Betweens. "When you wish upon a star, sounds like prayer yet how bizarre. They sit there oh so brightly lit, to touch one only hurts a bit, and only leaves a tiny scar." This CD is very much a musical road trip of sorts, in the theater of the mind - with equal parts struggle between personal mythology & pocketbook philosophy. Stripped down, bare, at the halfway point between visceral and ethereal, contrasting with lyrics that are layered with multiple meanings that alter the context of the storyline after each listen. With themes creating opportunities for the protagonists personal transcendence, despite one's own best and natural efforts to do otherwise, with broken hearts & broken promises standing in the way, does she make it?
